Back to the Beginning Tickets – Price Guide and Resale Tips

When Black Sabbath announced its original lineup would reunite for a single show in Birmingham, the response was immediate. Within 16 minutes of the general sale opening, every standard ticket had been claimed. For fans still hoping to attend, the path forward involves hospitality packages or the resale market — but each option carries its own considerations.

The event, billed as “Back to the Beginning,” is scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham. It marks the first time Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward have performed together in two decades, and it is intended as Osbourne’s final live appearance.

With general admission exhausted almost instantly, the conversation has shifted to what remains — and how to secure it safely.

How Much Will Back to the Beginning Tickets Cost?

• Demand was extreme — standard tickets sold out in roughly 16 minutes.
• Hospitality and VIP packages remain available via Ticketmaster and Seat Unique, starting at £225.
• Resale tickets are appearing on secondary platforms, often at premiums above face value.
• TicketSwap is currently the recommended fan-to-fan resale option with buyer protection.
• Viagogo does not list the event at the time of reporting.
• No official price list for standard tickets was released after the sellout.
• Booking complaints on social media highlight queue lengths exceeding 150,000 users.

When Are the Back to the Beginning Tour Dates?

As of the most recent information, there is only one confirmed date: July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham. No additional shows in London or any other city have been announced. Reports of a November 2025 run at the Gramercy Theatre in London are not supported by current official listings or venue schedules.

Is this a single show or part of a larger tour?

All available sources point to a one-off performance. Neither Ticketmaster, Live Nation, nor the artists’ official channels have indicated further dates. The event is being promoted as a farewell show for Ozzy Osbourne, not the beginning of a multi-city run.

When did tickets go on sale?

Pre-sale and general sale both occurred in early February 2025, with the general sale opening on a Friday morning. The exact date of the general sale is not specified in public records, but it was widely reported that tickets vanished within 16 minutes.

Where Can I Buy Official Back to the Beginning Tickets?

For fans still seeking tickets, the official route is limited but still open for hospitality and VIP packages.

Ticketmaster UK

Ticketmaster was the primary official seller for all standard and VIP tickets. General admission sold out during the pre-sale and general sale. Hospitality packages, however, were still listed as available at the time of reporting. Prices start at approximately £225.

Live Nation

Listed as an official partner, Live Nation has directed buyers to Ticketmaster for hospitality options. No separate inventory was held by Live Nation for this event.

Seat Unique

Seat Unique was highlighted by LADbible as the only place where tickets remained post-sellout, specifically hospitality packages from £225. This platform focuses on premium experiences and is considered a reliable secondary official source.

Are Back to the Beginning Resale Tickets Safe?

With standard tickets gone, many fans are turning to the secondary market. The level of safety varies significantly by platform.

TicketSwap

TicketSwap is currently the most trusted fan-to-fan resale option for this event. It offers buyer and seller protection, and prices are typically capped near face value. The event-specific ID for Back to the Beginning on TicketSwap is bc8fcc64-631e-460d-ab13-eddb2b25b5ef.

Viagogo

At the time of reporting, Viagogo did not list any active tickets for Back to the Beginning. Even when listings appear, prices are often inflated well above face value, and buyer protection is less robust than dedicated fan platforms.

General resale warnings

Avoid sellers who request payment outside of recognized platforms. Scalpers and fraudulent listings tend to appear quickly after a sellout. LADbible, a reputable UK entertainment news source, has advised fans to pursue official hospitality routes before considering resale.

Is This a Black Sabbath or Ozzy Osbourne Tour?

The event is officially a Black Sabbath reunion, featuring all four original members performing together. It is not an Ozzy Osbourne solo show, though it is being positioned as his final live performance. The setlist is expected to draw from the band’s career, though no official song list has been published.

This distinction matters for ticket buyers. The demand reflects the rarity of seeing the original lineup, which has not shared a stage in 20 years. Any suggestion that this is a standard Ozzy Osbourne concert under a different name is inaccurate based on current information.

How Does Back to the Beginning Compare to Oasis Tickets in Demand?

Comparisons to the Oasis 2025 tour are inevitable, given the scale of both reunions and the speed of sellouts. Reddit threads discussing the Back to the Beginning booking process describe queues of over 150,000 people and wait times that stretched for hours. One user described the system as releasing “2 seats every 10 minutes.”

While direct pricing comparisons are difficult — Oasis tickets also sold out rapidly and faced dynamic pricing criticism — the fundamental dynamic is the same: demand far exceeds supply, and resale prices are likely to remain elevated until the event date.

What Is Confirmed and What Remains Unclear

Why This Event Matters: Context and Broader Trends

The Back to the Beginning event sits at the intersection of several major industry trends. High-demand reunion shows have become a recurring theme in live music, with sellouts happening in minutes and resale markets following immediately. The frustration expressed by fans on forums like Reddit echoes similar complaints from Oasis and Taylor Swift ticket sales, where queue systems and limited inventory create intense competition.

Artist retirement tours also carry a unique urgency. Fans who missed previous opportunities to see Black Sabbath’s original lineup are motivated by the possibility that this truly is the last chance. That emotional premium drives both demand and willingness to pay higher resale prices.

Ethical questions around resale practices remain unresolved. Platforms like TicketSwap offer a face-value alternative, but the majority of secondary market sales occur on sites where prices are set by sellers with no cap.

What Happens Next?

Several developments are possible in the coming months. An official price breakdown for remaining hospitality tiers may be released closer to the event. Additional dates could be announced if demand justifies them, though nothing has been confirmed. A live album or documentary recording is a possibility given the historic nature of the reunion, but no plans have been made public.
